Ganesh Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chaturthi is the festival that honors Lord Ganesha. It marks the birth of the elephant-headed deity Ganesha, the god of prosperity and wisdom. A ten-day festival is held where clay sculptures of the god are installed in temples and homes. On the last day, there are grand celebrations, street parties, and feasts as the idols are taken to the sea to be immersed in water. On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Ganesha idol making competition was conducted for students in school premises. Activity was conducted by Team Sakal. Later, students were instructed step by step to make the idol. Everyone Actively participated and enjoyed doing the idol for the festival. Competition was held in 3 groups, Group 1: Pre-Primary and Grade 1. Group 2: Grade 2, 3, 4 and 5. Group 3: Grade 6, 7, 8 and 9. Art teachers Amar Thombare and Rupali Dhat selected the best idols from each group. Principal Mrs. Vidhyut Sahare Ma’am thanked Team Sakal for conducting the activity. Event ended with zeal and enthusiasm.
