Inter school Extempore Speech Competition.

Extempore is one such method which assists the students not only in thinking on their own but also in voicing their creative ideas with precision. Global Talent International School always thrives to cater to the all-round development of their students. The main focus of the school has always been on improving the Soft Skills amongst the students. With this intention in mind an Inter School Extempore Competition was held for the students from Grade 5 to Grade 10 on 5th of August, Saturday 2023. The objective of the competition was to make the students confident and better orators so that they can fearlessly express their views on any topic. The competition began by inauguration ceremony followed by welcoming judges Ms. Sandhya Dhole, Mrs. Rita Sandhu, Mrs. Vijaya Yashwant Lembhe, Management of GTIS Dr. Swapnali Dhoka, Principal Mrs. Vidhyut Sahare, parents and students. Mrs. Lincy Binoy and Mrs. Kirtee Mahajan gave a short introduction about the judges. Ms. Sandhya Dhole ma’am runs her own skill development school for students called Parikrama and have 20+ years of experience in education field. Mrs. Rita Sandhu ma’am worked as a principal in renowned CBSE schools, currently running her own pre-school named GRG Parvarish. Mrs. Vijaya Lembhe ma’am is a Vedic math teacher and owner of Vijaya academics. Later rules and regulations were explained to all the students. Competition was conducted in 2 different groups, Group 1: Grade 5, 6, 7 and Group 2 Grade 8, 9, 10. All the students had to pick 1 topic and present the speech. Time limit of 3 minutes were given to students and the judgement criteria included confidence, intonation, presentation and pronounciation. Students presented their speech confidently.Extempore gave an excellent way to assist the students not only in spontaneous thinking but also in asserting their creative ideas with precision. Mrs. Poonam Shelkar ma’am conducted few games for students as an ice breaker and as relaxation among students. The event came to an end by prize distribution ceremony and speech by Judges and management. They appreciated all the students for their efforts, hardwork and presence of mind. Mrs. Pranali Ma’am proposed vote of thanks to all present for the event. Parenting Workshop Conducted by Dr. Sanjeevkumar Patil

Global Talent International School provides the right education to students as well as Parenting tip to parents through parenting workshop named “Parenting Ki Paathshala”. GTIS Managing Director Dr. Swapnali Dhoka ma’am in her busy schedule marks up time to conduct these workshops to parents. Ma’am also invites few of the Guests to conduct workshops in the GTIS campus. On 22nd July, Saturday We had a very Renowned personality Dr. Sanjeevkumar Patil sir he conducted the workshop for parents on “Topic: Mobile De Addiction and Smart Parenting.” He is a famous Doctor (Anaesthesiologist), Actor, Motivational Speaker and Manshakti Devotee. He acted in many TV serials, short films, Advertisements and webseries. The session started by welcoming all the Speaker Dr. Sanjeevkumar Patil sir, Management Dr. Lalit Kumar Dhoka sir, Dr. Swapnali Dhoka ma’am, Principal Mrs. Vidhyut Sahare Ma’am and parents. A brief introduction about Dr. Sanjeevkumar Patil sir was given by Dr. Swapnali Dhoka ma’am. He Addressed parents on smartphone addiction, it is a disorder involving compulsive overuse of the mobile devices, usually quantified as the number of times users access their devices and/or the total amount of time they are online over a specified period. And explained types is parents and what are the different ways parents can keep kids engaged with alternative activities. Mentioned “Parent- Teacher-Student Triangle” Parent-teacher communication is more than just a process of helping improve your student’s or child’s grade. When a child’s parents and teachers communicate better, it leads in better nurturing of their social development. Gave tips on how to be an ideal parents. Parents should understand their actions, always remember to look at why a kid did something, give them respect and time, accept kid’s temperament, teach them about their emotions, don’t compare, compliment them for trying, do not fight in front of kids as they learn maximum things from parents. It was a very interactive, useful, motivation and fun-filled session. The workshop ended with a positive note.

Student Council 2023-24

Investiture Ceremony 2023-24. “Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do.” Investiture Ceremony is an occasion where newly elected Prefect Body of Student Council steps into the leadership role and takes an oath to deliver their duties promptly thus striving to impact the school community positively on the success path. The young leaders not only guide but also inspire other students on how to make a difference with their strategic planning, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills The ‘Investiture Ceremony’ for academic year 2023-24 was held on 19th July 2023 with great solemnity. Ceremony started by welcoming Chief Guests, Management, Teachers and students by Lincy Binoy and Swathi VK. There was an aura of expectancy as the beaming faces of the selected student council members marched into the gathering. Latter they were bestowed upon with the responsibility and they received their prestigious badges and sash from the Guests Dr. Aniruddha Tongaonkar, Dr. Deepali Tongaonkar, Management Dr. Lalit Kumar Dhoka, Dr. Swapnali Dhoka and Principal Mrs. Vidhyut Sahare. Dr. Aniruddha Tongaonkar and Dr. Deepali Tongaonkar are the Proprietor and Owner of Tongaonkar Hospital, Akurdi. GTIS is also giving commando training to students through MCF. Poonam Shelkar ma’am gave short introduction about the importance of MCF training followed by felicitation of MCF school and class leaders with badges. The Prefect Council Members then administered the oath by Principal Mrs. Vidhyut Sahare, where students pledged to serve the school and fulfill their responsibilities to the best of their abilities. Head Girl Sneha Yadav and Head Boy Jay Farate gave a speech on their proud moment and shared their views. Then Dr. Swapnali Dhoka maam Congratulated all the winners and thanked parents for their presence. Later Dr. Aniruddha Tongaonkar sir addressed all students mentioning students Council Members duties, Dr. Deepali Tongaonkar ma’am addressed students mentioning the importance of planning academics as well as health. Later there was Riffle Shooting demonstrations by Team MCF where Guests and management also tried to shoot the marked point. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Pranali Padval ma’am.

International Dance Day

International Dance Day celebrations. On account of International dance day, GTIS conducted dance competition based on the theme “Folk songs”. Competition started by welcoming Respected Principal Mrs. Vidhyut Sahare ma’am, a brief introduction about the day was given by teachers mentioning,International Dance Day is a global celebration of dance, created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO. The event takes place every year on 29 April, which is the anniversary of the birth of Jean-Georges Noverre (1727–1810), who is considered to be the “father” or creator of modern ballet (ie. classical or romantic ballet as we know it today not “Modern Ballet” as this is sometimes confused with contemporary ballet.) The day strives to encourage participation and education in dance through events and festivals held on the date all over the world. UNESCO formally recognize ITI to be the creators and organizers of the event.Pre-Primary, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students performed on folk songs.Grade 3 and 4 students performed dance performances from North Indian folk songs, Grade 5 – South Indian folk songs, Grade 6 and 7 – East Indian folk songs, Grade 8 and 9 – West Indian folk songs. Students performed both in groups and Solo performance. Judgement criteria included selection of song 5marks, costumes and props 5marks, Choreography 5marks, Expressions 5marks. All the students performed enthusiastically and we’re very happy.

Maharashtra Day Celebrations

“Maharashtra day celebrations” The 64th Maharashtra day celebration began with the flag hoisting done by our honorable Principal ma’am Mrs Vidhyut Sahare, which was followed by national anthem.In the event two students of high school Riya Jadhav, and Om Sutar expressed their views and payed homage to the martyers who laid there lives in creation of Maharashtra. Also stated that, Maharashtra Day, commonly known as Maharashtra Din (Marathi: महाराष्ट्र दिन) is a state holiday in the Indian state of Maharashtra, commemorating the formation of the state of Maharashtra in India. from the division of the Bombay State on 1 May 1960. Maharashtra Day is commonly associated with parades and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history and traditions of Maharashtra. It is celebrated to commemorate the creation of a Marathi speaking state of Maharashtra. As we celebrate Labour Day also on May 1st, students also gave brief about Labour day saying, Labour Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers. Labour Day has its origins in the labour union movement, specifically the eight-hour day movement, which advocated eight hours for work, eight hours for recreation, and eight hours for rest. The cherry on the cake was the performance of Vaidehi Kulkarni and Devshree Sonawane, students of high school who performed a art form depicting culture, tradition of Maharashtra.Principal mam in her motivational speech told the importance of labour day. As we are aware that in India Maharashtra is the only state to have it’s state song, which was played with our heads high. The whole event showered waves of patriotism among every one present over there.Jai Maharashtra!!

English Language Day-Competitions held

*Poem Recitation, Story Telling and Skit Display Competition conducted on International English Day.* On account of English Day Global Talent International School conducted Poem Recitation Competition, Story Telling competition and Skit Display Competition  for students. Competitions helps students to develop their creativity and their skill sets. It also boosts their self-esteem, motivates them to become better and makes them mentally strong. Competition has become the only manner of measuring the calibre of students. Competition started by Welcoming Respected Principal Mrs VidhyutSahare ma’am and all students. A brief introduction about English Day was addressed to students  mentioning, English Language day is observed, annually, on April 23. The date happens to be the birth, as well as, and date of death of well known writer William Shakespeare. English Language Day is the result of a 2010 initiative by the Department of Global Communications. The purpose of the UN’s language days is to celebrate multilingualism and cultural diversity as well as to promote equal use of all six official languages throughout the Organization – Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish. Later Poem Recitation Competition was started for Grade 1 and 2 students, Poem Recitation competition for Grade 3 and 4 students with Story Telling competition and Skit Display for Grade 5,6,7,8,9 students. Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrations

Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti Celebrations at GTIS On the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti, a special assembly was conducted in Global Talent International School on Thursday 13th April 2023. Respected Principal ma’am lighted lamp and offered flowers to Ambedkar sir photo. Students from Grade 9 from Global Talent International School gave brief introduction to students regarding the life history of Ambedkar. Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti is an annual festival celebrated on 14th April to commemorate the memory of B. R. Ambedkar. He was an Indian polymath and civil rights activists.He was born on 14th April 1891 . He is known for his fight against the social evil of untouchability and the inequalities posed by the caste system in India. Our Principal, “Mrs. Vidhyut Sahare” ma’am encouraged students to stand for knowledge and fulfill our duties towards the country. Ma’am inspired students by enhancing confidence and dedication towards our better lives.
