teaching methodology
We have a Student-Centered Approach to Teaching.
Our teacher figures out how much the students have learned through formal and informal tests, like group projects, student portfolios, and class participation. Group talks, either with the entire class or in smaller groups, are one approach to education. Students are encouraged to take an active role in their studies and to accept personal responsibility for their academic success.
In a student-centered classroom, teaching and assessing are linked because teachers keep track of what students are learning as they teach. Some students may be asked to do research on a certain topic and then teach the other students in the class what they learned.
Our teachers help and encourage the students to learn and understand the material. In order to get the most out of their education, students are urged to be more active participants in the learning process. This is an approach to education that basically sees the teacher as an expert on a subject. The teacher gives information to the students, who are expected to absorb and understand it.
