Unlocking the Future: How Our Students Explored Generative AI Tools for Creativity & Productivity

In today’s world, learning is not just about textbooks and exams—it’s about preparing students for the future. At our school, we took a bold step in this direction by conducting a special skill-development session on Generative AI for students of Classes 7 to 10.

The session opened young minds to the exciting possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI)—a technology that is shaping the way we learn, create, and solve problems. From everyday tasks like homework help to innovative skills like art creation, video generation, and coding assistance, our students discovered how AI can become their creative partner in both academics and life.

What Did Students Learn?

We introduced students to some of the most popular Generative AI tools and explained how they can use them responsibly and productively:

  • ChatGPT & Claude (Text Generation): For writing essays, generating ideas, simplifying concepts, and even practicing languages.
  • DALL·E & MidJourney (Image Creation): To create posters, artwork, and designs—perfect for projects and creative expression.
  • Suno.AI & MusicLM (Music Composition): For composing music, background scores, and adding creativity to cultural activities.
  • Runway Gen-2 (Video Production): To explore how AI can create short videos and visual stories.
  • GitHub Copilot (Coding Assistant): Helping students understand and practice coding by giving real-time suggestions.
  • Otter.AI & Fireflies (Voice-to-Text & Notes): Tools that can convert classroom discussions into notes and summaries.
  • Perplexity & ChatGPT Deep Research (Learning Partner): For exploring topics deeply, researching projects, and fact-checking.

Each tool was demonstrated with real-life use cases—so students didn’t just learn “what” the tools are but also “how” to use them in their daily lives.

Why Generative AI Matters in Student Life

AI is no longer something for the future—it’s already here. Whether it’s Google Maps suggesting routes, YouTube recommending videos, or voice assistants answering queries, AI is everywhere. By introducing students to Generative AI early on, we’re giving them:

A productivity boost – faster learning, better organization
Creative freedom – from art to music to storytelling
Problem-solving skills – finding smart solutions with the help of AI
Future-ready skills – preparing for careers that don’t even exist yet

Most importantly, the session also highlighted responsible AI usage—verifying facts, maintaining academic honesty, protecting privacy, and using AI as a helper, not a replacement.

Preparing Students for the Future

This was not just another classroom session—it was a step into the future of education. Parents can be assured that their children are not just memorizing lessons but learning the skills of tomorrow. When students know how to combine human intelligence with artificial intelligence, they are better equipped to stand out in academics, careers, and life.

As one parent shared after the session: “This is the kind of education we want for our children—something practical, forward-looking, and full of possibilities.”
